About

 To Whom Much Is Given......

I am a proud native of Birmingham, Alabama. I am a Christian, a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a wife. As a first-generation college graduate and an alum of the Ronald McNair Post Baccalaureate Program, I understand the significance of my position as a college professor and a higher education administrator. To whom much is given, much is required.

I spent most of my higher education career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, rising from assistant professor to professor, interim department chair, and now Assistant Dean.  I also serve the College of Arts and Sciences as the Academic Integrity Coordinator.

I graduated from the University of Alabama and the University of Tennessee.

I am a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America. In my free time, I love listening to smooth jazz, going to the beach, spending time with family, practicing mindfulness, and working out. I am a working mom with a son who is an athlete and a wife to a very tall man.

My leadership philosophy is equity centered and a belief in the fact that to whom much is given, much is required.
